Welcome to Carnarvon Family Golf

Carnarvon Family Golf is owned and operated by the Kent family and is located in the beautiful Haliburton Highlands. Our mission is to offer our customers an affordable, fun, family experience. Our facility offers a variety of activities for the whole family including batting cages, driving range, miniature golf, toddler play structure area, and 9 hole par 3 golf course. In addition. our golf camps, clinics and lessons provide our customers with a fun learning experience at all levels and for all ages, while visiting cottage country in beautiful Haliburton.

The Kents became new owners of the property in the Fall of 2007. With some TLC and elbow grease, they have set out to make the newly named Carnarvon Family Golf the funnest place around!

Our newest improvements include:

• The Teaching Centre. Built near the putting green, it will have many different teaching aids, demo clubs, club fitting equipment and slow motion video analysis for golf swing corrections.
• The Par 3 Course is under renovation until the summer of 2011. At that time we will open it again with 9 beautiful holes. The greens will no longer be artificial. They will be seeded with bent grass. Some of the holes will remain open over the summer of 2010 for the Junior Golf Camps only.
• Enlarged grass tee deck. This will provide more time for divot/grass recovery.
• Automated irrigation system has been installed throughout the facility.

The Gary Kent Golf School

Carnarvon Family Golf is the home of the Gary Kent Golf School. Gary Kent is a CPGA Head Teaching Professional and is recognized as one of Ontario's finest golf instructors. Gary has an uncanny ability to quickly and accurately analyze a golf swing and effectively communicate a plan for progress. He believes in building golfers who learn how to “play,” as opposed to just learning how to swing. When you are ready for a lesson or two to improve your score, Gary and his staff guarantee to improve your game! Our clinics provide affordable learning for all levels. Our Half Day Junior Mini Schools will run weekly in July and August and will be very popular so we advise you to book in advance.
